Masquerade balls originated from Venice in the 15th century, mostly for successful people who could conceal their identity at a time where privacy was hard to come by. The masks were worn not only for mystery and intrigue but to let people have the freedom to be who they wanted to be without fear of judgement.
The long-nosed masks also known as a nasone mask were commonly worn by men and usually emphasized wealth and vanity.
Want to waltz back into the 15th century and receive an exclusive invitation to a lavish secret masquerade ball where you will slow dance with some of the greats, without knowing who it might be? Could they be the perfect person or are they hiding all their secrets behind the mask?
This is a plastic, long-nosed nasone mask with a blue effect being the main design, black and gold on each eye and music notes on either side, finished with a 3d gold outline. Can be easily worn by tying the black ribbon at the back.
Blue masquerade masks typically were worn to represent calmness and commonly used to impress someone.
