Delivery Schedule



Dispatch and Deliveries operate Monday to Friday ONLY!! - There is no Weekend Service

So for a more detailed explanation:

Items on the 24hr service ordered before 4pm on Friday should arrive on Monday between 9am & 5.30pm

Items on the 24hr service ordered after 4pm on Friday should arrive on Tuesday between 9am & 5.30pm - as the item is picked up by Parcel Force on Monday

Following this, items on the 48hr service should arrive one day later.

48hr Service before 4pm Friday -  expected arrival date Tuesday

48hr Service after 4pm Friday - expected arrival date Wednesday.



Monday through to Thursday 24hr service will be expected the next day PROVIDED the order is placed BEFORE 4pm.

Monday through to Wednesday 48hr service will be expected two days later PROVIDED the order is placed BEFORE 4pm.

 

If you have not received your parcel within the expected time or you cannot track your parcel please contact our customer services team so we can help you as soon as possible. The sooner you can get in touch, the sooner we can resolve the problem and get your items to you in time for your party!!

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND EVEN THOUGH PARCEL FORCE has set delivery times, as with any mail service there can be unexpected delays and therefore we cannot guarantee delivery times. WE RECOMMEND YOU ORDER AT LEAST TWO TO THREE DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE DAY YOU NEED YOUR ORDER - this applies throughout the year and particularly to our busy Halloween season. This means if anything does go wrong then there is a chance to remedy it in time!

PLEASE NOTE Parcel Force delivery service is not affected by any strike action taken by Royal Mail.

 

When completing the checkout process - filling in postage details



When making an online purchase please ensure that your postal address is correct. This is a simple yet easily overlooked task and it is probably one of the most vital, especially as you are expecting everything to turn up there.

Please make sure that your house number has the correct postal code, if this is wrong your parcel will not be delivered and will be returned to us. If you are unsure about your postal code please do a quick check with Royal Mail online, this is a free service and doesn't take long.

You must also enter a house number; if this is not entered your parcel will be returned to us. (This excludes Southern Ireland as a lot of rural houses do not have house numbers)

Failure to enter the correct details means your parcel will be returned to us by Parcel Force and you will incur postage and return charges. If such an event does occur then we will contact you and discuss what is to be done with the items ordered.

 

Please ensure that your email and phone number are correct!

It is important that you enter these correctly, so please take some time to check over what you have entered before submitting the form. It is essential that we can contact you regarding your order.

 

A Signature Is Required. All parcels leave Elliotts with a tracking number and will need to be signed for. Please ensure that someone will be at the delivery address to sign for your goods.

For UK Customers: If you think you may not be at home, may we suggest you change your delivery address to place of work.  Otherwise Parcel Force will try one of your neighbours for a signature and if not will leave your parcel at the nearest Post Office - a Customer Contact Card shall be left at your specified delivery address.

For Southern Ireland Customers:  GLS courier service delivers our parcels. If the driver cannot find your house he will call you (please ensure you have entered a local number, a mobile is best), if he has located your house and you are not in, he will try a neighbour. If there is no-one to sign or he cannot locate your house the parcel will go back to the GLS depot and they will attempt a redelivery the following day.

Please note the driver will be limited to trying the houses nearby, not down the street or in another street.

Please keep an eye on your emails for a message from Parcel Force with your tracking number so you can follow your parcel.

Once again do get in touch ASAP if you haven't got your parcel as expected, because the sooner we know, there is more time to do something about it. ie chasing Parcel Force during their working hours.

 

Can You Leave An Item Without A Signature?
In a word 'No'.

There are however several options; the first is:

if you live in the UK and are simply not in, the Postal driver should leave a note saying they called, note the time and leave you a card with details that your parcel is in the local Post Office. The Post Office should be named.

if you live in S. Ireland and are simply not in, the Postal driver will attempt to redeliver the following day.

The second option and the one we recommend, is to change your shipping address to a place of work / a business address where you will be guaranteed that someone can sign for your parcel between the hours of 9am & 5.30pm. (This is great as there is usually someone manning the reception or store front throughout the day.)

As an alternative to this you could change the shipping address to a friend or relative whom you know will be in all day.

Order Cancellation: Pre-Shipment

If you wish to cancel an order or part order transaction before it is shipped, please do so immediately via telephone and our customer services team will help, you will not be charged any penalty whatsoever and your payment method will also be cancelled. If the order has been picked and packed then the Post-Shipment cancellation will apply.

Order Cancellation: Post-Shipment

You may cancel your order up to 14 days from the day after you receive your purchase. You will be invited to return the goods in an unopened and unused state for refund. Please see our Returns Policy for more information.

Refund Policy Exclusions: 

  • We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, misuse, soiled or show signs of wear or alteration or repair of the ordered goods without our approval.
  • We inspect all costumes that are returned to our warehouse and will contact you to discuss any issues with worn, or soiled costumes.
  • Please note most fancy dress costumes are made to be worn a few times and are not meant for daily wear or theatrical use.
  • Items Exempt From Refund due to personal hygiene and/or nature: contact lenses, teeth, pants, tights/stockings, makeup, facial hair and wigs cannot be returned, once opened, a sealed transparent pack that cannot be re-sealed cannot be returned. It is therefore important to note that you check the costume you have bought fits BEFORE opening this accessory product.
  • Professional makeup liquids with no seal cannot be returned as we are unable to verify the liquid has not been tampered with or diluted so it is important to be sure you are buying the correct item.
  • If we receive any returned items outside of the conditions of this policy (for example, you try to return an opened pair of stockings to us) the items will not be refunded. We will provide you with a reason why and if you would like us to post these items back to you, we will ask for £5.99 to cover the cost of a tracked postal service. Our Returns Team will be in touch with you to arrange payment of postage if you choose this option.

 

Returns Policy - Cancellation Of Order

 

PLEASE NOTE Abuse of the policy will lead to you being blacklisted from our site.
All goods purchased online via our Elliotts Fancy Dress website may be returned for refund (excluding Parcel Force Shipping or Click & Collect fees), You must contact our customer services team up to 14 days from the day after you receive your goods (or day of collection) [*].


Before sending the parcel back, please contact our customer services team immediately via email or telephone. You will be advised of a date at which the goods must be returned to our premises for refund.
Please note that unfortunately we will are unable to accept back goods which have not been cancelled within 14 days from the day after you receive your goods.


You will be asked for the reason for the return plus whether the item has been used. In addition, you will need to confirm your name and order number, so please have these available if you telephone. You will need to include this information with your parcel as failure to do so may result in delay of any refund.


May we please ask you to additionally note: You need to follow steps 1-3 and we suggest you read 4-10

  1. You must take care of our goods whilst they are in your possession and any item for return must be received back in its original shipped condition and original packing. The item must be without damage or use and in a suitable condition for resale. All original packaging    should accompany any returned item. We cannot accept returns for refund if such items have been opened from a sealed package (Costumes do not typically come in sealed packages and you can try them on). All items will be inspected on their return to our premises.
  2. We are not a manufacturer, so the whole product and packaging must be returned in the same condition as you would have received it and how you may expect to receive it. If the product or packaging is in any way missing or damaged, we cannot refund.
  3. That you or your carrier are responsible for any returned goods until they reach our premises. Cost and Risk of return will be at your expense and we strongly recommend that you receive proof of posting or use Royal Mail's "Recorded Signed" service. You may like to opt for a service with higher compensation should an item be valuable.
  4. We regret that outbound Parcelforce premium shipping, packing and insurance cannot be refunded and if you are returning goods received by post; the original total cart value minus the new cart value, if the items are applicable for refund, will determine the new cart total and the relevant postage charge band for that cart value will be applied. If using our offer of free postage over £50.00 once your order value drops below this amount you will be charged for the original postage.
  5. If you have ordered the wrong size of costume and need another or want an entirely different item we suggest after contacting our customer services team you place a second order for the new item and send the original back.
  6. We try to make refunds within one week of receipt back to us, though promise to make all refunds within 14 calendar days from receipt of goods to our premises. Please note that we will not be held liable for any interest payment that you may incur because any refund was made outside of your credit/debit card timescales.
  7. Please return the goods to the address on the top of your receipt/invoice including your Name, Order number, Address and contact number. Any returned items not including such information may well be delayed.
  8. Any returned goods that we receive which are outside of this Returns Policy will be defined as 'In Dispute'. Such In Dispute items will not be refunded. A reason for this decision will be provided. We are happy to re-ship such In Dispute items back to you, we will ask for a fee to cover additional shipping costs. Otherwise they will be destroyed within 91 calendar days from their receipt back to us.
  9. The refund policy does not include purchases made in our High Street shop. The shop has its own refund policy that can be viewed in the shop before you make a purchase.
  10. *Please note that we can only accept returns of goods that have been purchased from the Elliotts Online Store.


[*] "14 days from receipt of delivery" shall be defined as beginning on date from when your shipment or parcel is received by you, being the date of signature that the package is received by you.

Returns Policy - Faulty Goods

 

  • Should a product be faulty and not a result of fair wear and tear, you should let us know as soon as possible as we will happily refund or exchange it for you.

  • We are sorry but due to false promises in the past, we are unable to replace a faulty item until the original is returned to Elliotts. If you need the costume/Item asap we suggest after contacting our customer services team you place a second order for the new item and send the original back to be inspected and refunded if faulty.

    
Any returned goods that we receive which are outside of this Returns Policy will be defined as 'In Dispute'. Such In Dispute items will not be refunded or exchanged. We warrant that, upon receipt of goods, the ordered goods will correspond with the written description on this website, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship and will be of merchantable quality. There may, however, be minor variations between the goods as shown or described on our website and those dispatched to you (but so that the goods dispatched will always be of a comparable or superior quality)

Elliotts Fancy Dress make every effort to maintain clear descriptions and endeavour to use such 'up to date' images that are representative and truly reflect the item to be purchased. However Elliotts Fancy Dress cannot be held responsible for [a] any perception you may have in product representation and [b] the manufacturer's obligation of a right to change product specification including colour or design at any time and without notice.

It is also important to note that some colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen to the product ultimately received, depending on your monitor screen resolution and colour/display settings. We are aware that our site looks different on different PC's using different browsers and having different colour and screen resolution settings.

Prior to shipping, we reserve the right to decline, reject or similarly cancel any order or part order without notice and refund any payment in full.

Many products, especially accessories can be procured from different suppliers depending on stock availability. Please note therefore that products may come in different packaging.

All prices are correct at time of publication. Elliotts Fancy Dress reserves the right to change, alter or amend any price at any time without notice. Should a product price decrease since an original purchase, contractually we are not obligated to refund the difference. Similarly, should an increase occur prior to purchase, we are not obligated to sell at the previous lower price.
