Captain Titanic (Boys) Costume
RMS Titanic was made in Belfast and set sail from Southampton in April 1912 and was heading for New York. The boat was filled with many wealthy people as well as emigrants from Britain, Ireland, Scandinavia and other parts of Europe who were heading to North America to pursue a better life for themselves. She carried 2,224 passengers and crew but she only had enough lifeboats for 1,178 people. When Titanic hit the iceberg women and children were called first for the lifeboats. Captain Edward John Smith was the Captain of RMS Titanic. Captain Smith remains an iconic figure today who was known to have gone down with his ship.
