Novelty fancy dress parties are a great way to let your hair down, get creative and enjoy yourself. The frivolities of the fun fancy dress party began back in the 1700's with the masked balls that grew quickly in both popularity and size. These parties however were taken very seriously by fortuned families and were used as a way of secretly meeting loved ones, attracting a partner and setting up future marriages.
